The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some models have superior navigation and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.
It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one motion. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well however, it's something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.
The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. remote hoover can be used to clean efficiently and efficiently. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.
Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.
The device has a high price tag but comes with a large selection of advanced features. It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three month.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. These include the power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which has a microfiber pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated, but they do mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers that help to protect certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect some of the hair that our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots have struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some pleasant jingles to signal that it was starting and working towards its goal.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the need to swap out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't hold multiple maps, which could be a pain when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinct features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock, which doubles as a charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two of the buttons to turn off a child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it is entangled in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its application.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.
On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
